Hi, we’re Nic and Natalie, the husband-and-wife team behind Hälsa Saunas!

We’d love to say we started this company because we’re effortlessly zen, floating through life with green juice in one hand and serenity in the other. But let's be real; life is busy, loud, and often chaotic. With four kids, an established remodel business (Pettersson Homes), and a start-up sauna company, time is limited. So, we built something that brings a rhythm of retreat and reset into daily life at home, with the bonus of crazy good health benefits.

Hälsa means ‘health’ in Swedish, a nod to Nic’s heritage and the Nordic traditions that embraced wellness long before it was trendy. Our goal is to create space for Hälsa of the mind, body, and spirit—a traditional sauna where you can connect, breathe, and remember what it feels like to slow down.

Nic is a craftsman at heart, passionate about building and bringing people together. Some of his favorite memories are of sitting in the sauna with his dad, unwinding in a way that didn’t always require words. Those moments stuck with him and later inspired Hälsa Saunas. Now, he pours his expertise into designing and constructing outdoor saunas that are not only beautifully made but also foster meaningful moments and lasting connections.

For Natalie, sauna is more than just heat, it’s healing. After years of navigating autoimmune challenges, she has learned that wellness isn’t about trends but about what truly makes you feel like yourself again. Sauna therapy has been a game changer for her, helping with recovery, reducing inflammation, and bringing a deep sense of balance.

Our goal is to help you create a space at home to recharge, reset, and maybe, just maybe, ignore your responsibilities for a little while (we won't judge). We’re so grateful you’re here, and we can’t wait to bring a little piece of Swedish wellness and a whole lot of heart into every Hälsa Sauna.
